Worth the splurge | My favourite high-end products

I try not to be a makeup snob, but I do love me a bit of high-end beauty. Unfortunately, I can’t afford really high end, expensive beauty products. I’m talking about more middle of the road, too pricey for normal people but affordable as an investment. Does that make sense? I’m not sure I understand what I just wrote but I know what I mean in my head. Anyway. I have put together a list of the pricier products I have bought and tried, and which I think are worth the investment.

Let’s begin!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette | £39

These shadows are just so buttery, they blend beautifully and they are the perfect mixture of natural and sparkly. This palette is so versatile and it is probably my favourite. Oh, and did I mention it smells of chocolate?

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation | £32.50

Not for everyday wear, but this foundation is such an incredible full coverage formula and it is so long lasting. I wore this when I had a long shift at work or on a night out and it never budged. Definitely worth every penny and it lasts for ages. You can get colour matched at any Estée counter and they will give you a sample to try out first before purchasing.

Nuxe Anti-Fatigue Moisturiser (Creme Prodigieuse) | £21

Normally, moisturiser is one of those things I refuse to spend a lot of money on because I use so much of it. However, I received a sample of this in my birchbox and I had to purchase it. It smells gorgeous and it does wake your skin up. I only use this sparingly when I’m extra tired or hungover, and it works a treat. Nuxe, I love this moisturiser but I can’t afford it. Please, please, please someone buy me it for Christmas.

Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream | £35

Another expensive skin care product. This is aimed for people who have concerns about dryness around their eyes or those who are looking for anti-aging products. This eye cream contains pomegranate which reduces puffiness but fills in lines. It is so moisturising and refreshes my eyes. It also sits really well under my make up. One bottle lasts ages since you only need half a pump for both eyes, so it’s worth the splurge if you’re looking for an eye cream.

Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks | £24

I only own three of these lipsticks, Secret Salma, Love Liberty and Amazing Grace, but they are among my favourites in my makeup collection. The matte formula is so creamy but still long lasting. The shape of the applicator is really ergonomic and the packaging is stunning. I LOVE these lipsticks and it’s definitely adding at least one to your collection.
