January Favourites 2017

I personally love seeing people’s favourite products, so I thought I’d show you the 5 products I’ve found myself using the most this month!

Collection Sheer Loose Powder – Barely There £2.99

I will start with the cheapest of my favs! I bought this powder because I was running out of my Urban Decay Loose Powder and couldn’t afford to repurchase until the end of the month! I needed something just as light as UD’s product to set my concealer with and use for defining my contour on nights out. For the price, this powder is great. It lasts really well and keeps shine at bay. At £2.99, I don’t feel guilty about baking with it and it’s almost, very nearly light enough for my skin tone but I think in future I will be repurchusing in translucent instead. Just like the Collection Concealer (which is my fav concealer EVER), it delivers good quality product for an affordable price.

MAC Coppertone Blush

I bought this blusher in a look in a box (as a birthday present to myself on the way to Budapest) from Gatwick Airport. I believe you can only get the look in a box sets from airports, but they’re amazing. This means I have a smaller version of the blush, which at full size is £18.50, pretty pricey for a single blusher, but I would definitely recommend it.

This blusher is a matte peach brown colour and it’s so versatile. I wore it when I got to Budapest in the sun, and it made my skin natural and almost sunkissed. In the dark winter months like January, I think this is the perfect product to bring some life into your cheeks! I like to use it almost as a contour, or blend it into my ABH powder contour to define my features but in a soft way. I take this blush everywhere with me and swear by it with every make up look.

I received this mascara in my Birchbox last month and it’s fabulous. It doesn’t clump, the formula is long lasting and it curls lashes really well. The wand is really good for lower lashes too. If I can afford it, I will be buying a full size version of this when I need a new mascara (Which probably isn’t going to be for a while actually..)

thumb_img_8746_1024Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil 03 – £20.00

Love love love this pencil. Like the rest of the make up community, I moved on from brow pencils to gel, wax and powder months ago. However this pencil has sped up the brow process for me! The pencil is shaped so that you can draw thin lines and fill in your brows much quicker than a normal pencil. I love that the Benefit brow products come in so many different shades, especially when brow colour is something you don’t wanna get wrong. With this pencil it takes me half the time to do my brows, it’s great for day to day wear and it lasts for 12 hours!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar £39.00

If you’re going to buy one eyeshadow palette this year – I would say get this one. It is the most versatile eyeshadow palette I own. It has beautiful purples, browns, nudes and shimmery highlights. The formula is buttery, long lasting and highly pigmented. The glittery colours are slightly less easy to blend, but I’ve found that most glitter eyeshadows I have are similar. I loved this palette this month because it was so natural (most of my Jan was lectures and work), it’s perfect for daily use but it also has shimmery and deep colours so you can go from day to night pretty quickly.

I added some swatches of my fav shades, from left to right, Salted Caramel, Marzipan, Crème Brulee, Amaretto and Hazelnut. Next I want to try Too Faced’s Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar and the Peach Palette, but at the price it’s quite difficult to own more than one of these palettes!

If you read all of that waffle- thank you! If you have used any of these products or you have any questions, drop me a comment on here or instagram.

Have a wonderful February guys!
