February Favourites

Here are my favourites from this month..

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Monte Carlo

image2I have been wearing this so often this month, it’s the perfect pinky red for day to day wear without needing to concentrate on a proper red lip, lip liner etc etc.

The NYX Lip Creams are all amazing. The colour is pigmented but not drying, and they’re so easy to swipe on. The applicator is comfortable, all in all a great product. The best thing is that they’re only £5.50!!!! Only problem maybe is that you don’t get enough product in the bottle I think because I tend to get through mine, but that might be because I use them a lot..

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyebrow Dipbrow Pomade (Soft brown)

image1-2I was given the dipbrow by my (amazing) boyfriend for Valentine’s Day because he knew how much I wanted it! I love this product so much, it is so easy to use and does not budge. I would recommend this to anyone, they have a great range of colours too! I have been applying it with my Liz Earle Brow and Eyeliner Brush instead of getting the ABH one.

Simply Straight Hairbrush

thumbnail_image1Not exactly makeup but –

This straightening hairbrush is fabulous. I was given it for Christmas and I have loved it this month. I’m not sure if this is correct but it feels like it is less damaging than my GHDs? It is so quick and gives a really nice style. It goes up to 185, which is great when you have thick hair like me, but you can change the temperature. You can buy these at JML, and for £30 they are really useful!

MAC ‘Burgandy Times Nine’

image1-1I went home for our reading week at Uni and had to pick one eyeshadow palette to take home (this was a lot more difficult than it sounds), my too faced chocolate bar had been home with me over Christmas and I decided to switch it up a bit. I took my MAC x9 palette, one of my first high-end pieces of makeup, which I haven’t used in awhile since acquiring 3 morphe palettes, 2 Naked palettes and my chocolate bar.

I chose this palette to take home with me because it is pretty small and can fit in my make up bag but has, as the name suggests, nine bold and pigmented shades which blend together beautifully in an array of looks. My fav two shades are ‘Honey Lust’ and ‘Star Violet’, the shimmery and metallic shades, they look so pretty over the matte ‘Quarry’ and ‘Embark’. I made a tutorial using this palette and you can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-8242sHfk4

This palette is on sale for £25.00 rather than £30.00 also which is great!

Wishing you all a happy March!
